HOPE SHARING CAFÉ @ FOREIGN COUNTRIES IN MARCH 2012

A year has passed on March 11, 2012 since the Japan’s earthquake and the Tsunami
occurred. The rubble of the disaster area in Tohoku region was cleared away,
but only a huge heap of rubble remains at downtown of the disaster area
after the earthquake. Although residents who lost their houses swept up by the
Tsunami still live in their temporary housing, some people sometimes commit
suicide and die solitary death in that housing there.

The Minamisanriku Reconstruction Support Project
was founded by the United Earth after
the Japan’s earthquake on March 11, 2011. For more information about the United Earth, you may look at the
website at https://united-earth.jp/en/unitedearth.html.

What is the
Hope Sharing Café?

The Hope Sharing Café is an opportunity to
recall the disasters and share opinions on them with your family, friends, colleagues,
and etc… At last, we will mark locations which the participants held the Café
on the Google map, and it will be uploaded on the United Earth web site or the
Facebook to visually inform how many domestic and foreign participants still
continue to pay attention to the Japan’s earthquake.

The Hope
Sharing Café on November 11, 2011 was held in 26 countries and 44 cities. After
that, it has been regularly held on the 11th of each month. Short
movies about the project are uploaded on the YouTube.
